The Challenge

Chris Doering Mortgage (CDM) is a local mortgage lender that is passionate about serving the Gainesville community with excellence and all things Gator Football. Their experienced team provides a relationship-driven mortgage process and acts as a fountain of knowledge in the industry.

They came to PHOS looking to increase the ease of their online application process and refresh the website design and performance. As players in the often stressful home-buying process, they wanted to ensure their brand matched their promise to guide their customers boldly and a website that did not hinder prospective customers from doing so.

Our Vision

After building a website for the CDM team many years ago, we were excited to reimagine their digital presence for their refreshed website. Our vision was to lower the barriers to helping them do their job well—namely, their old website. We would know we had done our job when they had a refreshed brand and site that supported their purpose of removing anxiety from the home-buying process and acting as an accessible resource for people looking for reliable, up-to-date mortgage information.

CDM’s team knows how stressful the home-buying process can be. The new website needed to showcase the friendly faces that would be partnering with clients to purchase their dream homes.
Additionally, this new website needed to empower CDM’s clients to learn about mortgages, calculate estimates for their monthly payments, and easily apply for pre-approval.
Just like on the football field, you need someone cheering you on in the most difficult moments. Chris, along with his team, showcases proven experience and a team mentality when it comes to mortgages.

The Branding

This project refreshed Chris Doering Mortgage's brand, blending boldness, dynamism, and approachability. The new elements emphasize Chris Doering’s recognizable name while showcasing the team's expertise and local presence.
Staying true to the bold orange and blue of Chris Doering’s logo, our designers incorporated two accent colors to support. To add dimension to the website, we added a Gator-like texture as well as some subtle patterns.

The Web Design & Development

The new Chris Doering Mortgage website aimed to educate visitors, position the company as a mortgage expert, and inspire diverse users to pursue homeownership. The clean design and easy user journey prominently feature the pre-approval application and mortgage calculator, visible immediately on the homepage.
The website was designed to support users at any stage of their home-buying journey, from research to decision-making. Potential homebuyers can easily navigate the site to gather information, get to know the team, and complete the steps needed for their mortgage application.

Photography & Videography

The photography shot for this website needed to be engaging and welcoming. This was an easy task with the friendly members of Chris Doering’s team. Candid shots around the CDM office and welcoming headshots allow a user to get a glimpse into their experience working with CDM.
For this project, our Media team was able to capture dynamic visuals for the website and partner on a Brand Anchor Video that highlights Chris Doering Mortgage’s story.

Inbound Marketing

The CDM team wanted to highlight the benefits of using a local lender, emphasizing flexibility, accountability, and personalized support. Through an educational, multi-channel content strategy, we've connected with diverse audiences, from first-time homebuyers to those refinancing, by delivering monthly, data-driven blogs and engaging video content that improved social reach by 67%, even during challenging market conditions.
In collaboration with local real estate professionals, we've helped CDM serve prospective homebuyers by providing reliable, up-to-date mortgage information. This approach has been particularly rewarding during the pandemic, as it helped reduce anxiety in the home-buying process.
